You Don’t Have To Have It All Right Now

Maybe you have a big picture vision of all God wants to do through you, all you know you were created for, designed for, given the talents you have been given for.

Or maybe you just sense more coming…bigger opportunities, bigger responsibilities, bigger things on the horizon.

Or better yet, like so many, you see some of what others are doing and think “ I need to be doing more”, “my life needs to look like that”.

Let Go

It doesn’t need to happen right now. Let go of the expectations you’ve set and trust in God’s perfect timing.

You have the rest of your life to live out all God wants to do through you, all you were created for, designed for, and given the talents you’ve been given for.

On a podcast I listened to recently the interviewer asked the interviewee what she would tell her 25 year old self if she was sitting across the table from her.

She said “everything you think you need to have before you’re 30; marriage, ministry, career, children, house, family vehicle, doesn’t need to happen before you’re 30.”

She realized in her later years all that stress and rushing, trying to make things happen in her timeline, or society’s timeline, was useless and pointless.

She was able to see looking back on her life that she would get those things, all in their own timing maybe, but she would get them.

And it didn’t matter if it was after 30, God was still calling her to do things in her later years and would continue to for the rest of her life. She had her whole life for all God had in store for her, not just 30 years! And so do you!

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” Proverbs 16:9

Steward What You Have Now

Don’t rush the process of what Gods working out in your life when you don’t have it all.

In those moments you are learning to trust, to lean on and rely on Him entirely. When you have all you want, you stop leaning in close to the one who gives them all to you. He wants your heart before he gives you these things!

Steward well what he’s given you at this season and enjoy the life you’ve been blessed with.

I haven’t mastered this by any means, but have learned that taking a step back and saying “Hold up!” Where am I putting my trust in, in this moment?” is super helpful.

Just last week I was thinking I needed to have it all right now, and almost didn’t write this blog post because of it.

While talking with my husband guess what he said to me? (He has no clue about my blog post topics). “You don’t have to have it all right now”.  Okay, point taken! lol

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

Trust Well

Enjoy his blessings now, don’t rush what’s coming and above all trust!

It truly is a trust issue. Do you trust God to use you, to bring you to bigger places, to do big things through you?

Then let go of the timeline and your vision of what it will look like and let it unfold as he desires.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Then,

Rest in his arms.

Let go of your…

Career or lack of one

Marriage or lack of one

Kids or lack of them

House or lack of one

To-do’s

Tasks

Questions

What if’s

Worries

Perfections

Expectations

And rest, rest, rest.

Trust him. He’s got it. He’s bigger and more powerful then you, and his plan is ALWAYS better then yours!

“”For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”” Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
